Best $20 I've Spent!

People are wonderful, designing such a small device with so much information and fairly accurate is a miracle. Worth every penny and to top it off the spool can be hinged to prevent cables from becoming detached. Yes, I would recommend it if you think you need to control devices.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Works well and inexpensive

Others here have covered the basics well. I will note that it goes well with "LeMotech ABS IP65 Plastic Dustproof Waterproof Junction Box, Universal Electrical Project Enclosure, White 5.9" x 4.3" x 2.8" (150mm x 110mm x 70mm )" https://www .amazon fits. com/gp/product /B075DHRJHZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some minor issues

Excellent All in one meter!

I bought 2 of these to replace the power meters in my generator board I'm building. My old sensors didn't have a frequency display/function. This was an easy replacement to fit into my current generator board after removing my old meters. I will be buying two more for house maintenance at 200 amps so I can control the power consumption of the whole house.

Can't extend current cable

I would give this a 5 except they didn't make the wires coming from the CT long enough. I've tried expanding them, except it changes the current reading. Simply doubling the length halves the current reading. There is a fine adjustment button, but it only changes the reading by 1 count. So I would have to press 1000 times to get the reading from 400 watts to 1100 watts.

Easy setup in multitester

This multimeter works exactly as I expected. Installation was easy (I plugged it into the socket on my Trotec Speedy500 laser). The split core transformer was much better. I'm not sure what the other reviewers meant when they said it only showed current readings up to 5A. My device displayed instantaneous current values over 7 A (at 120 V). If values over 1000 are stored in the Wh field, it is automatically switched to kWh. Says it can store information up to 999.9 kWh.

Pros
  • Easy to use

  • Very expensive

Value for money tester

I've been observing various home power monitoring systems for a while. I like the meaning but can't justify the price yet. So I decided that entry-level reading is ideal. I love these items but you have to make your own box. Reading AMP is a bit different, but it gives me a good idea of what's going on on my system. I installed two of these, one for each leg. Now I have to see how long they last. This is just the first day. Also, I have a 200 amp service and that was the absolute max limit that

Helps to recognize my energy loss.

This meter shows watts and kWh consumed. Very helpful. I recently installed Powerwall. This showed that the house was using far more electricity than it should have been. I bought a 120 volt power meter to test all the plugs. No problems were found in 120 volt circuits. I bought this and installed it with a plug and socket to plug my heat pump water heater into. He used 4000 watts, he should have used 500 watts! Turns out he was in failure mode when using resistive heating elements instead of…

Does what they say but not a plug and play product.

I ordered one of these to try and it seemed to work well so I ordered more. While the vendor provides a simple program to read a device and set its device address. To read more than one device you must either buy a program or write your own. I tried several "try before you buy" programs and none of them worked, so I decided to write my own. I've never written programs in Python before, but since the open source library I found was in Python, I gave it a try. My program reads values from more…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Not bad

I installed a display on the manual service disconnect box so I can read loads on my 6500w emergency generator. The screen is a bit blurry. Not as clear and legible as advertised images. You have to be close and at the right angle to see the numbers. The plastic clips that hold the device in place are very fragile! That's all I can say about the product as I haven't tested the display under generator load. In the photo I took, power to the display was "backed up" from my home's electrical panel
