This trailer hitch is rated for 5,000 lbs. gross trailer weight, 500 lbs. tongue weight, 10,000 lbs. weight distribution capacity and 1,000 lbs. weight distribution tongue weight (limited to lowest-rated towing component). VERSATILE DESIGN. This class 3 hitch equips your vehicle with a standard 2-inch x 2-inch hitch receiver, allowing for a wide variety of towing options. It can accept a ball mount, cargo carrier, bike rack, tow hook and much more. FULLY TESTED. Every CURT class 3 trailer hitch design is tested in real-world, on-vehicle conditions at our Detroit engineering facility. Aftermarket hitches are tested according to SAE J684 standards for the utmost safety while hauling. RUST, CHIP, UV-RESISTANT. This tow hitch is protected with a unique dual-coat finish of rust-resistant liquid A-coat and highly durable black powder coat. The two finishes are co-cured together for exceptional resistance to rust, chipping and UV rays. EASY TO INSTALL. This hitch offers a custom, factory fit on select model years of the Dodge Ram 1500.

A perfect replica of the original part.

Fits perfectly on my '02 Ram 1500. I have worked as a tech on a Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram for a very long time and this is an exact replica of the ones we have from mopar Installed. It took me about 5 minutes to install.

Installation is easy, but not all parts fit properly.

The spacer plate was too short for my '02 Dodge Ram 1500. I had to cut it in half to fit the spacer. It was easy to thread the bolts through the frame with fishing line, once the bolts fall out of the frame they are almost impossible to retrieve. Use dental floss to tie the pieces together to form an extraction line.

Excellent quality product. Dodge Ram 1500 Release 2005. Installation was easy

Excellent quality product, heavy duty steel with a real powder coat finish. Installation on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 was easy, all I had to do was add some washers with the existing gasket that comes with the kit, no big deal. Pulling the bolts and fasteners through the frame was a lot easier than I thought it was on the first try and the quick delivery. Thanks Curt Manufacturing, thanks Revain.

I was happy to find this receiver when looking for a receiver for my Dodge Ram 02. This receiver fitted perfectly and was easy to attach. I watched a YouTube video and then easily installed it. I have towed my boat several times with the receiver. I recommend the product to everyone.

Excellent hitch receiver, easy installation

I ordered this hitch receiver for my 2002 Dodge Ram (not a factory tow kit). The quality of the receiver and fittings was top-notch - very heavy, durable materials, excellent workmanship (no roughness, glossy paint well applied), overall I gave the impression of a quality product. The instructions are simple but sufficient. I think it took me about 20-25 minutes total to install from start to finish. Even "catching" the bolts in the truck (the ones that have to go into the truck's frame) wentโ€ฆ

Fast, Easy, Cheap, Quality Coupling

. Best price, free shipping, fast shipping, very good quality hitch, very easy installation. I installed it on my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 that came with a tow kit but no factory hitch. This Curt hitch fits and looks the same as the OEM hitch. This is a very heavy hitch for its sleek, low profile look. It attaches with 4 screws and a spacer (some don't need it, but it's still included). The clutch has a high quality black powder coating and is evenly coated. Installation was very quick, took 20โ€ฆ
