That does not work ! - Fifth wheel

The fragile shipping carton must have been dropped several times to bend some metal, after final installation the handle does not move up. Fifth wheel pin cannot enter the system. NEED HELP AND ADVICE ON FIXING. TOO MUCH WORK AND TOO DIFFICULT TO RETURN. PLEASE HELP WITH INFORMATION. The pamphlet teaches you "NOT", take the money and run. Better keep your money and forget it

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Missing hardware Poor customer service

Hardware was missing when the product arrived. Contacted the seller immediately. A week later, when we had to buy the device ourselves, the seller got in touch and said he needed a photo of the shipping box. A bit tricky after opening for installation (as we found out the hardware was missing) and a week later. By the way, the box looked good when it was delivered.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel

Cool trash! for tow bars

Box damaged upon delivery. The clutch does not slide properly from front to back in the guides. Short by about 1/2 inch and indeed all mounting screws have to be loosened to lock and then tightened again. All kinds of slop in the receiver and hinge. Rumble, clank and shake your truck with every bump, acceleration and braking. Prior to purchasing this car I borrowed a towbar from another manufacturer which had none of these issues.

Pros
  • Heavy duty
Cons
  • Crumpled

Great hitch - fifth wheel

I have no complaints about this hitch and got great prices which makes it even better. The only thing I had trouble with was adjusting the legs to my already installed universal rails. The drawbar legs were easily towed after being bolted to the drawbar. Therefore, they will not line up with the rails. I ended up having to grab a jack and use enough force to bend my legs so they were straight. Then the legs didn't line up with the front and back rails, so additional work was required. Howeverโ€ฆ

Good quality and affordable.

Full disclosure. I bought a special open box from Revain, I knew it would be cosmetically damaged. It turned out that he, too, was slightly bent. It seems it didn't affect anything, tightening the screws seemed to return everything to its original position. It fits snugly into the Curt universal bed rails I installed and I have to tap it in with a rubber mallet. But it eliminated any source of seizing that could have come from slop on that joint. It works well. We tow the 5th bike about once aโ€ฆ

Need better packaging, doesn't fit well on the rails

The product arrived and the delivery person had to hold it in the holder to keep everything in the box while it was being shredded. Note in the photo where the bottom brace has been bent. I had to clamp it in a vise to straighten it. It also doesn't install well. After assembling, it doesn't fit in the rails, you need to loosen the screws of the bracket to get it in the rails. After it is in the rails, you can tighten the bracket screws. I suspect it will hurt to come out. I rent mine out a lot

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Functionality

Good solid hitch to external accessories

This hitch is fine but a little lacking in a few ways. Overall, the build seems solid enough to get the job done, and compared to the competition, the price is certainly reasonable, and Kurt has a very good reputation. However, the advertised 10 degrees left and right advertised for this device are not, more like 7 degrees TOTAL, 3-4 in each direction from center. I really expected 10 degrees in each direction from center, dumbass I'm old enough to know that advertisers will take all theโ€ฆ
