🚚 CURT 16120 A16 5th Wheel Hitch - Rated for 16,000 lbs: Top-Notch Towing Performance Review

I've been towing a fifth wheel for years and thought the thump and thump was just part of that style of traction, if trailer boy I was wrong! This Kurt hitch is so easy to connect, rolls down the road smoothly and quietly. No rattling when starting and stopping, now I have the joy of towing and no longer the fear of plugging it in!

Very easy to use. put to bed. Move the handle back. Once the kingpin is fitted, the handle will lock automatically. 360* flexible head smooths out uneven terrain. The double jaw ensures a safe and smooth ride, no sticking or "loosening". I'm pulling a 15,000 lb 41" 5th wheel on my 2006 F6.0L with universal rails in the body. This hitch doesn't even flinch.

We received this hitch to replace an old worn out spring. It's a great thing and I can't say anything bad about it. The only thing that takes some getting used to is that it moves more than my old hitch. However, this clutch is better when hitting rough ground. Note that not all hitches fit the old universal rails on the truck bed. We had to change ours. All in all a pretty good stop for the price.

One of the most efficient and beautiful clutches you can buy, for the money you can't go wrong! Joint bushings perfectly absorb the hits and vibrations of the trailer. During the first use the yellow 'steam' indicator did not show up fully but after a few uses and an application of dry lubricant around all moving parts everything is now working properly. I tow my 5 wheel 10K RV with complete confidence compared to economy models. I highly recommend this product.

The clutch works as it should but is too grippy for me. You could hear and feel the trailer every time you stopped or started. I adjusted the trailer brake boost to minimize this but it was still very noticeable. I ended up buying a different nozzle. I've also never been able to get the hitch to sit flush with the rails in the highest position, you can't reach the bolts to tighten them once they're on the truck. And when removing for pulling up shift and bite the legs, when unloading it also…

In my opinion this is the best bitch for the money. The black and white clutch is better but for twice the price it wasn't worth it. The processing quality, adjustability and the swivel head convinced me. I currently have a Reese 16k on my truck and it hardly turns even though it costs the same as this one. Everything is fine with the towbar, with the delivery it's a different story. UPS did a terrible job. It looked like they threw it out of the truck as they drove by at 60. The lid of the box

Excellent clutch. Got Curt rails and brackets for my truck, followed the video and installed with no problems. The coupling head can be easily separated from the base, which makes it much easier to get on and off. Pulls well without binding and noticeable play. Also, my driveway slopes about 7° uphill and I had no problems hitching or unhitching at trailer height and the truck was still going downhill. We also recently camped in a (crappy) spot that was over four inches above level side to side
