Heavy Duty Tow Bar

Hidden, Quality, Easy to Install, Useful! Perfect addition to my truck as a front carrying platform, trailer maneuvering, motorcycle carrier, winch etc. Love it!

Pros

Cons

THIS ITEM PICTURE IS REVERSE

BUT THIS ITEM PICTURE IS REVERSE. I didn't care what everyone says. Also, it is not easy to install. Requires fishing bolts through existing frame holes and holding a heavy hitch to the bolts. This is almost impossible for one person.

Pros
  • Special Offer
Cons
  • Operating Speed

quality product. Easy installation.

Exactly the quality you've come to expect from Curt Manufacturing. This receiver can be installed by one person in under an hour with the right tools. Raise the receiver with a jack, hold it and tighten the screws. Just like this one. I bought mine to hold the winch.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Neutral

Will not fit 2WD models

I give 5 stars as it is well made as you would expect from Curt Products. But it will NOT fit 1998 F150 2WD models. I'm just posting this for those who might want to give it a try like I did. I was willing to do a little work to get it working on my 2WD model, but found that the bumper would not reset after the hitch was installed. There are other problems with landing.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Available in exchange

Bought for my mounted plow, for a '98 Ford F150, everything aligns perfectly but the receiver is exactly flush with the bumper in the grille so it's on Bit tall to mount the snow thrower, but the coupler and fasteners are top notch and it's easy to install with no drilling or welding

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Easy to install on towing vehicles and winches

All holes aligned for easy installation. Fits perfectly. I didn't have to cut the plastic. Installed on a 1997 Ford F150 for use with a snow plow, mounted. I was surprised how easy it was to fish the bolts through the frame. I expected it to be a lot harder than it was. The only problem I had was not being able to reattach the tow hooks because the bolts were too big for one of the holes on each hook. I will only buy normal screws for these 2 screws

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Totally impressed with this thing

ok so ok. I haven't used it yet. Maybe it will take me completely by surprise and be totally ineffective. But I doubt. That's a beast. The build quality appears to be top notch. I know enough about welds and steel quality to judge with any authority. If I actually use it to get my truck out of a ditch or use it to park my trailer in a ridiculously tight space, I'll update the review. Until then, you'll have to put up with the fact that I know as much as I can. Installation Notes: The half hour…

Pros
  • handy thing
Cons
  • so far so good
