VERY CONVENIENT FOR THOSE WITH MULTI-TRAILERS

I had a similar type of ball hitch. It is very important to keep an eye on the balls that are not being used :-). It's too long to find this combo unit.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Can't remember but something was

Great set of shift balls. Easy to turn on and off.

I've been using this set of balls all summer. When I'm done, I take the ball away. From time to time I oil both the ball and the shaft with a little WD40 to protect it. Works perfectly

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Only available in black

They worked a lot better than I expected, I hope they hold up.

They worked a lot better than I expected, hope they last. What I like about it is that I can get the balls off the hitch and they don't rust around the bar. I had similar ones like these from the clerical one and nothing was resting and I couldn't even take them off. I would recommend these

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • cable is shorter than other picks

Universal Tow Bar

An excellent all-round ball that is easily interchangeable with different sized trailers. There is no need to carry multiple balls or receiver components. Always one in vehicles and suitable for most trailer applications

Pros
  • Manufactured from high strength steel and protected with a high quality nickel chrome finish
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Great set of trailer balls, though.

Excellent ball joint kit (see update). Nice easy resizing of balls. My boat trailer is 1 7/8" and Uhaul wants 2". No problems so far but I don't leave it outside in inclement weather when not in use. Update: I've used 2 inches about 15 times. The ball is held on the shaft by a steel bearing in the ball. The bearing is about a quarter worn out. If the bearing wears too much, the ball will break off the shaft on impact. That would be my worst nightmare. Changed my boat trailer (12ft boat) to 2"โ€ฆ

Pros
  • No tools, coins or pins required to install ball joint (zinc plated hex nut and screw lock washer to secure stem)
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Bad product design. Do not buy.

I bought this set of ball switches to solve a specific problem as I have 3 different pendants with different sized balls . At first glance, this seemed to fill my need. After months of use with fairly light trailers, none of which came close to this product's ยฃ6000 rating, maybe ยฃ3000 at best, I have not been able to remove any of the balls. It rotated about 45 degrees with a lever screwdriver inserted into the side hole. After spending about an hour in the shop playing around with a vise andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 1" neck, 1" shank, 0" pitch and 2 1/4" shank length
Cons
  • Damaged

Worst ball I've ever had / even worse customer service. Don't ever buy this.

My photos say it all. Rust everywhere after 3 weeks. I'm not the type of person to write a lot of reviews and certainly not bad product reviews, but I'll start by saying this is without a doubt the worst quality plated ball joint set I've ever had. I have several Reese clutches and thought I would upgrade here by purchasing Curt clutch components, but I was clearly mistaken. I haven't towed anything unusual for the average homeowner. (just to show) I have used both the small and the 2" and both

Pros
  • The shaft supports the weight and frees the clutch from friction and binding, and the exclusive J-Nut design ensures system reliability (US Patent #5,169,168; Canadian Patent #1,325,445)
Cons
  • Quality
