Complicated setup, but works great!

I'm by no means a mechanic so attaching the cable to the battery proved a difficult task, especially given the lack of instructions on how to do it. After 2 hours of safety wire through my machine, they work! And hopefully I don't have to worry about that anymore. They work great!

Works great: Trailer Accessory

Works exactly as I hoped, installation was a bit fiddly, had to remove the interior panels in the trunk and I had to come up with a dedicated power supply in the trunk for cables It would be very difficult to do that Lay the power cable from the trunk to the battery as described in the instructions. I had no intention of drilling holes in the car. Overall, getting the rights to our jet ski trailer works great.

The machine is a pain but the kit is VERY GOOD.

This setup was "fairly" easy to hook up. The vehicle makes this difficult as things need to be removed and replaced. But the kit is well thought out and works well. The main problem is connecting the 12 gauge wire to the battery. Easy to make on my 1998 Grand Marquis. But he went to Rodeheaver Boys Ranch. So the 2012 Outlander Sport was something different. Good instructions, good design, good facilities but very difficult to get where to go. IT WORKS OUT. About 2 hours of work.

  • Enjoyable

Just waiting for a sunny day to install

I opened the package to test it as it will take a week before I can install it. Although the wires look the same as the ad above the guide bonus. Next to their hitch I found color photos of the installation on my car showing which panels had to be removed to gain access to the necessary wiring. The only downside was that I had to run a cable (included) from the battery to the hitch. (Having never done this before, I assumed the power would come from the existing taillights).

Pros
  • . A few competitors
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Plug and Play EXCEPT for the cable to the battery.

As other reviews have noted, there is nothing in the instructions on how to route the power cable to the battery, which takes twice as long as all other attachments, done in 45 minutes. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. It would have been much worse if I couldn't lift the car (Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2014). I considered running under the floor panels but it looked like more work and I was able to find a place under the dash to easily route the wire.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Very expensive

Basically easy to install except 12V battery cable

I got this for Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Hooking up to existing brake light connectors was easy and the instructions were very clear. Installing the controller was easy too, and it's nice to have everything you need in this kit. The only odd thing was the cable to connect the battery. If I routed it through the cabin from the trunk to the front, there wouldn't be room to route the cable into the engine bay without much fuss. Luckily I was able to slip it through the rubber grommet in the back

Pros
  • Handsfree
