Easy installation for wiring

Nice that the tail light connectors are pluggable. It took some time and I planned to find a good route for the battery wire to the front of the car.

Pros

Cons
  • Some cons

Easy install best for tow products and winches

It was perfect and easy to fit just make sure it fits your model "SE & SEL" use this and " SPORT & LIMITED"" uses a different one. The hardest part of the installation was running the power cable into the engine compartment. The suspension works perfectly.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Fragile

Fits right into taillights

This is not the easiest of installs. The body parts must be pulled back carefully so as not to break or break them or the tabs holding them. I didn't extend the power cable to the battery, I simply connected it to a 12-volt power supply on the side wall of the trunk.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Poor design and obviously untested installation

This item will not work on 2015 onwards Ford Edge SEL due to incorrect design. There is not enough space behind the rear light to mount the built-in connector supplied - it is not possible to retrofit a rear light with a built-in connector. Kurt apparently didn't test it for suitability after they developed it.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons

2018 Ford Edge SEL Hitches and Winches

Routing the wiring as directed exposes it to the ENTIRE exterior of the vehicle. I pushed the plastic panels back in and routed the wiring through the rectangular panel with the rubber flaps. Now all the wiring is inside. I used socket number 4 (cigarette lighter in the trunk) and thus avoided cables to the battery. A ground wire was also laid. The socket is fused with 20 amps.

Pros
  • Decent Performance
Cons
  • New Competitors Appeared

This pendant works great! The hardest part was installation

This wiring harness works great! The hardest part is the installation. Love these instructions - place the module and connector in the trunk so you can use it for trailer use only. You can find installation instructions for other vehicle makes of your model/year on YouTube. However, I decided to follow CURT's instructions to have the module and connector in the vehicle. YouTube videos are good for running wires in the taillights, rear bumper, and underside of the car to the front battery.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Relatively easy to install

I ordered expecting to connect to the wiring harness under my car but I was wrong. It's relatively easy to install, but it took a lot of extra work to remove the parts from my make of car (interior moldings to get to the headlights, rear turn signals, exterior lights on each side to get to the plug and the cigarette lighter of the trunk). back so as not to stretch the cable along the entire length of the car). After removing the parts from the car, installation was pretty easy - I used the link

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Clarity
