Bugout / The Apocalypse Bag

I bought this for my Bugout Bag, I've tested and used it, it will work fine when the apocalypse comes and I'll be driving in my nice cool car. AC car while you all run away from zombies :)

Don't waste your money

The hose is so stiff it twists horribly and is difficult to submerge in liquid. Also, the pump is AMAZING! He couldn't suck more than a few inches of liquid into the tube. What a waste of money!

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Plastic bottom filler ball (no rubber)

These are NOT siphon pumps with flexible black rubber balls to start the siphon. They are hard plastic - hard to describe. Trust me, it's now almost impossible to prime the pump with one hand. I really don't like it. Of course, rubber can degrade after a while, but this substitute is much worse. I think it will crack and break soon.

Pros
  • nice touch
Cons
  • piggy bank price

There is a siphon but it doesn't start

Bought to drain the radiator through the plug (if the hose goes deep enough into the side tank) because the taps are usually above the radiator bracket, which is what it does it is difficult for coolant to get into a bucket. The liquid appears to be pushed back into the tube as much as it is being pulled out. So I watch as many things just go back and forth until it finally starts to flow.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • There are problems

Cheap but completely unusable

Complete scrap. There are no one-way valves to control flow. The packaging says to use fingers. I'm surprised they didn't tell me to throw the bulb away and suck on the hose to pump out the liquid. The onion was so thin and thin that after squeezing it once it stayed that way (flat like a pancake) and didn't expand even though both ends were open. The hose was twisted in the packaging for so long that it would not straighten out to be loaded into a container.

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • old

That's not a pump!

Smooth deception! It's not a pump. It has no valves. It's just a tube with an extruded bulge inside. You can use it as a siphon like any piece of pipe. You might even be able to plug the outlet end with your finger and fill the siphon with a squeeze ball, but why would you want that when you can get an actual pump instead, like the Heathrow Scientific HEA20631B vacuum/pressure lamp. Revain should be ashamed of carrying that item around. I was going to give this item zero stars, but Revain…

  • The list will be long.

DO NOT BUY! into tools and equipment

First, the hoses don't want to unwind, so you're constantly struggling to hold them between two points of interest. Second, the lamp does NOT have a check valve. ! Unlike primers on outboard motors and other engines, the bulb simply shrinks! So, in addition to leaving the hoses unfolded, you should try placing a finger on the outlet end while sucking liquid through the other end. I didn't even bother to return it to Revane, I threw it in the bin. In fact, they must be embarrassed to let the…

Custom Accessories Jack Pump 36668 6' Hose w/

I have a motorcycle and generator in the garage with some gas in the tanks that I wanted to pump out and add fresh fuel to. I ordered this #36668 6" tube siphon pump from Custom Accessories and it's a good little siphon system, the pump starts the siphon easily and allows me to empty the tanks fairly quickly into an empty gas bottle which I put in poured the tank. Tank truck so it can be used. Fresh gasoline came in and then some preservative. When the old fuel remains in the gas tank, the…

Cheap, cheap, doesn't work, cheap.

This thing is just awful. Bought to be used as a kerosene heating tank. Thank god I checked it first. I've read the directions on the box, checked the tubing for leaks, and haven't found any manufacturing or shipping issues that might affect the efficiency of the pump. I poured a jug of water, inserted a hose, created suction and started pumping. With each compression (I squeezed the pump about halfway) fluid starts to flow out of both hose plugs. 1) Liquid (gasoline, kerosene, etc.) gets on…
