Description of CVR VP655 Vacuum Pump

For vehicles using engine combinations that provide little or no manifold vacuum required for braking. When vacuum drops below 15 in. of vacuum the CVR Electric Vacuum Pump activates and increases the vacuum level to 20 in. of vacuum. Complete self-contained Unit. Simply connect the positive/negative power and the Unit will regulate the vacuum level itself. Patent pending design - superior to anything on the market today. Cast aluminum Construction.

Impressive vacuum pump for automotive AC repair

i PURCHASED this vacuum pump for my auto repair shop and I must say it's impressive. Through trial and error I found that it worked seamlessly with my existing tools and met my expectations. The pump`s performance is top-notch and it's easy to use, which is particularly helpful for technicians with heavy workloads. However, the only downside is that it's quite heavy, so it's not the most portable of devices .Nevertheless, it's a valuable addition to my automotive tools and equipment..

Very very loud. for vacuum pumps

I'm still looking for a quiet vacuum pump. I use this pump in my diesel van so it's tucked deep under the seats, access panels, insulation and hoses so I'll probably keep it to myself. As soon as I have time to dismantle it, it will be sold. For a $300+ vacuum pump, this leaves a lot to be desired. This pump was very easy to install but can be heard over the 4 cylinder diesel idling from over 50 feet away! When driving, the pump is very noticeable up to approx. 2700 rpm at 30 km/h. If you're…
