I bought these shoes to use with SPD spikes. However, the cleat holes are not recessed into the sole and there is no padding on the sides of the cleat holes. The boots only touch the ground when walking. This will most likely damage the floors. These shoes are obviously made for cycling, but it's still nice to be able to walk around a building or bike somewhere if something breaks. Maybe it's my ignorance as these are the first cycling shoes I'll buy but after looking at many different options and they all seem to include clips I took it for granted that all these shoes bring your own clips. They do NOT come with the necessary hardware for your bike's pedals. The ad DOES NOT properly communicate that you NOR need to purchase them separately.
