Small big does not disappear

Socks are a little big, I ordered a medium size and I wear size 8 shoes, but when I wear shoes on the heel, they ride up. These socks are definitely not useless as they are almost an inch above the ankle and the color is not white and gray as expected but more of a light gray and dark gray which confuses me a bit. They're comfortable, although so far so good. I took them off yesterday to find quite a sweaty feeling so not sure if they work for cooling, I'll update them after I put them on…

Sturdy but still my favorite

I took these socks on a monthly hike and they held up great. I didn't use foot powder but I didn't get that boggy feeling even walking 10 miles a day in the heat. There's a rubber backing that helps them stay secure on their feet, which I really like. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that they can be felt even after following the care instructions. difficult? No pilling or fading, just *not quite* comfortable. They are still my favorite socks.

Comfortable, low cut and warm

I wear a women's size 8.5 in most shoes and bought these medium sized socks. They fit great and seem to have survived 4 washes without excessive shrinkage or weird felting (I never really know what wool does in a wash). Now I can comfortably wear running shoes that chafe my ankles in other low-cut socks. I don't normally wear socks with anything but trainers, but in cooler weather it's unavoidable in my Chuck Taylor low-top trainers, and they keep me warm while remaining fairly discreet…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...

These socks are absolutely NOT worth $9 a pair. I had good wool socks and when you take your foot out it's dry to the bone. Not so with these. I really doubt the wool content in these shoes because they don't look remotely like wool. To be honest, I can't tell them apart from normal running socks made of polyester. absorb moisture well, and when they dry they become hard and papery, like poor quality polyester socks. Good wool socks to wear day after day because they don't get stiff or smelly…

  • Great construction

  • No instructions

Good quality sock for socks

Several other ankle socks I've tried have failed and ended up wrinkled in my shoes. These socks NEVER do that, which is good. In addition, these socks are made of a merino wool blend. A few years ago I started to appreciate the benefits of high-quality Merino wool socks and gradually ended up wearing them almost exclusively. They absorb moisture and keep your feet practically dry. More importantly, they don't stink! And in my sneakers, which I now only wear with these socks, the shoes never…

Good wool socks in general

I had problems with calluses on the balls of my feet from rubbing the socks. Last year I rolled up some wool winter socks, but I decided that I really needed short summer wool socks. So I tried these. In general I am satisfied with them. I bought a medium size that says it's for women, size 7-9, but I found it a bit too long, although I can get it to work. I don't really like the grippy things on the inside of the heel of the sock. I would also have liked a slightly higher proportion of wool. I

Durability is refined, design and performance are good.

Just bought and only done about 10 miles as a pair. (In the last photo you can see that pellets appeared on the heel). These socks are thinner than I expected (thinner than the ultralight SmartWool socks I've bought before). This made me a bit worried about their durability, but I have a pair of "Darn Tough" thin merino wool socks that are as good as new after 5 years and they have convinced me that thickness and durability are not always so closely related connected, as one might think . .…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Hard to say
