Being the best at controls and displays doesn't pay

I was trying to use these switches on a custom application I was building and these switches didn't get past the soldering stage. I tested each switch to make sure they worked before adding the wiring harness and they worked. After getting my leads on 10 switches I tested them and 6 out of 10 fried during the soldering step. I take some blame as the iron was too hot for the first one but for the other 5 that died there is no physical damage to the wires but they no longer pass the current or…

They are quite thin just in case

I would never suggest using them for something you will use on a daily basis because I don't think they will last. They're fairly cheaply made, and the very first one I took out of my pocket to look at some of them fell apart in my hand before I'd even soldered the wire. I just pushed the button back and forth. If it's for something you use from time to time I think it's fine, but if it's for something you'll use every day I'd recommend looking for a different brand, or you can replace them…

Better than I expected.

I have a fairly expensive "Led Lenser" flashlight that I have owned for a while and have kept in my pickup truck for lighting when needed. The batteries it contained (big brand) leaked and the acid damaged the switch at the end of the flashlight preventing it from working. As mentioned, I find this flashlight expensive (the closest model to me right now is the Led Lenser TT, $50, which is expensive for me, and I paid more than I bought mine) so I wanted this one order the necessary parts, but…
