🚲 CYSKY 350mm SeatPost: Versatile Bike Seat Post for MTB, Road, and BMX Bicycles (Aluminum Alloy, Black) Review

I installed this on a Nishiki Colorado mountain bike that I bought at Dick's sporting goods store. The one that came with the bike was probably good enough, but it didn't last long due to the Dicks staff's lack of skill in properly assembling bikes. I installed this seatpost myself and expect it to last the life of the bike.

6mm hex key used. Could NOT get the screw to move any amount. I have a full set of imperial and metric allen keys, none fit 100% although 6mm was very close. I've seen several reviewers talking about 8mm, they must have updated the screw size because it's too big for this screw. I do not recommend wasting time on this particular product. To return.

Perfect for a kid's bike or commuter bike with a rider up to 150 pounds. I noticed too much bend in the tube when trying to run it 200mm longer. This is not the case with higher quality stems. The single-bolt clamp design is a nice feature on this budget stem, as are the height adjustment markings on the stem. Logo named silly - Cansucc. Well, now I understand.

Seems strong. Fits perfectly in the seat tube. I only rode about 200 feet to test the seat, so I can't comment on the rack's durability. So why the low rating? The screw (mine was 6mm, not 8mm like others have said) holding the seat rails was so tight I couldn't loosen it. And I have long allen wrenches with handles that bike shops use that you can apply a lot of force to. So how did I weaken it? Not having a vise, I put a pipe wrench on the seatpost, another pipe wrench on the allen handle…

The item arrived on time and appears to be of very good quality. It is quite durable and conforms to the stated dimensions. It also has a very nice finish and looks great when attached to a bike. My only complaint, which other commenters have mentioned, is that the seat mount uses an 8mm hex bolt. It doesn't seem like such a big deal, but it's incredibly frustrating to receive a product that comes with a full set of bike hex wrenches only to find that your set doesn't come with an 8mm wrench…
