Saved me $$$: faucet replacement parts

My wife and I decided to improve the shower spout in the bathtub and put in some tile and in the process we discovered our old cold water was leaking behind the wall and on the subfloor. Well we couldn't find that part anywhere around us and removing the stem made it leak faster and faster. it was bad. We were a little scared but decided to order this and have it shipped for one night. If that doesn't work, we'll call the plumber ($$$). leaked and saved us money. Works well and we are grateful.

Pros
  • ID length 9, brooch S

Pros
  • Fits Sterling 031, 032 and 033 series bath/shower faucets

  • Unbelievable price

Fits but doesn't work right away. no instructions at all. I couldn't even find anything on the web that showed a diagram of the internals. Also, I paid for 2 days delivery and had to wait 4 days so no one in the family could take a hot shower for 4 days. I had to buy some spacers so I could make a rear gasket because the ones they supply are useless and just leak water around the back of the build. Too bad there aren't other versions as you have to buy grommets to make it waterproof. Generally…
