Darice 68 Piece Art Set Supplies Review

My husband was recently on a missionary trip to Mexico and wanted to give his host family's daughter a small gift. Without knowing her interests we thought she would love this art set. She smiled from ear to ear when she received it and spent a week making little cards and drawings for everyone. It was nice to be able to surprise her without spending a lot of money.

I bought two of these to give to my young niece and nephew. I think everyone should develop their artistic and creative abilities and this set is a great way to do that. I will warn her mother to take down the oil pastels and keep them until the kids are older because they are 5 and 3 years old and oil pastels look dirty and can get dirty. The set says it's for ages six and up, but I still liked the rest of the set, so I thought they'd still love the set, minus the oil pastels.

At this price point I would give 5 stars if it came with the correct marker colors. It came with two dark purple colors and no pink (which was important for my girls) and two oranges but no dark blue (which was important for my son). Otherwise I am completely satisfied. If this problem can be fixed, then I know you can't do better at this price point. We are homeschoolers and they are great for learning about the arts and crafts we make. Every kid has their own, and at that price, why not us…
