Gave it to my brother for Christmas. Absolutely worth the money, just as good quality as any other damn tough socks (I have 2 boot protectors and 2 mountaineer types). He liked the model, said that they are warm.

They're great, I've worn them snowmobiling, they were warm, comfortable and fit perfectly in my boots and boots to and from trails. Damn stiff socks made it to the top of my list of favorite socks.

So good I bought more. I wasn't sure in the past if I got medium or tall. But the size is indicated in the sock. This is my 5th pair of Damn Sturdy socks. Thinner ones, as in the photo, are used for motorcycling in the summer. I use the Hunter version in winter and for snorkeling.

Comfort, killer look, high leg seat, warm (but not winter warmth), high quality. Darn Tough is a great company and you can feel comfortable wearing their products. On a 5ft 10in male they come almost to my knees which I like to wear with jeans etc in cool to moderately cold weather. also my socks, which I choose for air travel to prove that I am not a terrorist.

Excellent socks. They are durable and comfortable. They also come with a great guarantee: the darn tough ones will replace them if they ever wear out. I've already replaced a pair that rode about 800 miles on the Appalachian Trail before the wool wore out. That's pretty impressive considering that many of my hiking socks (including branded socks from a popular outdoor chain) punctured after 100-200 miles.

I'm a HUGE DarnTough fan - I'm going to take ALL my other socks, throw them out and replace them with DarnTough. Why? Amazing Quality, Great Service, Great Warranty (Lifetime, No Questions Asked). Why only 4 stars? Because they don't sit on my shin - unfortunately they sink in minutes. Otherwise absolutely amazing - thick enough, cushioning enough - I use them for everyday wear. Plus they look fantastic.

Definitely the quality you've come to expect from Darn Tough socks. I had a problem with the material around the lower leg being too tight for me. I average 40 miles a week, have large calves and these socks fit well but border on uncomfortably tight. If your calves are 18 inches or larger, you might want to think twice before buying this pair. Otherwise a great product as usual.

My husband's favorite socks. From the moment he put them on he liked them so much he could barely make him put them in the wash. He liked them so much I ordered three more for him and a pair for my granddaughter. I am a knitter and have knitted him many pairs of socks but I cannot guarantee that he will not get holes in his socks like the lifetime warranty on these socks does. Judging by the way he wears them, I'll justify my money if the socks last a year without holes.

I'm a size 12, they should fit, but they are MUCH small. It took a lot of effort just to slip these socks down the leg and pull them up to the calf. Within 30 seconds of putting them on I felt my blood flow decrease and my calf went numb within minutes of taking them off. I will return this L and order XL. I hope they are bigger in the calves because they are too tight. There must be a branch that suits them. I will update my review once I have the larger socks. I really hope they are what they
