H System GU10 Line Voltage Track Lighting Fixture White HTC-9154-WH (Bulb Not Included) Review

Instead of saying "No bulb", why not say it clearly and say "Bulb not included"? The lamp was useless, too. My intention was to save time by just snapping it into the track. Now I have to either look for lamps and lenses online or go to the store. I think I'm too new to buy these lights.

This light does not hold the bulb firmly or in a position that keeps the bulb flush with the light head. This makes it quite clunky in actual use, as the lamp doesn't point where the light is pointing and can move if you try to aim the light at a specific spot. However, it's pretty cheap, so I think it's priced rightly.

update availability for $11 can't complain too much. The retaining clip was a pain. After installing on the rail, the power cable did not have enough space inside to rotate the bracket after installing on the rail. You could feel the tension in the cable. So if it's pointing where you want it after you've made a turn on the track, you're good to go. If you need to rotate it 90 degrees when it's fixed.

If you are converting your track lights to LED, these lights are worth considering. They are easy to install and offer excellent light with Philips LED bulbs. Customer service was great. A small part was missing from one of the fittings and was replaced immediately. LED lights are literally cool. You can wrap your hand around the device and it will only feel warm. Try the halogen equivalent and you're on your way to an ambulance. The energy saving is impressive.

I bought this model to test in my track lighting system to upgrade to LED. I liked it and decided to replace it because the bulbs had burned out. I needed one so thought I'd reorder the same one. However, I ordered one from the same company that looks the same except for the HT-50154 model. Cost $2 more and was a POS. I will not return as it costs $6 to return. Don't make the same mistake I did. You will regret it. This HTC-9154-WH model is much better for less money.

We bought 8 of these little guys for our kitchen. They are sweet! It was a bit difficult to put the lightbulb in at first. I had to push really hard to get each bulb into the holder to secure it under the wire insert. We installed them on an H-rail with smart LED bulbs. I bought these lamps for this very reason. We had lights designed for halogen bulbs from 20W to 50W. LED bulbs are usually 5W-10W. I've read that this difference can burn out the light as it puts too much current into the LED…

I bought 3 of these and used Hue Philip GU10 bulbs with them. The quality seems great. One reviewer complained that the caterpillar head didn't hold the bulb in place. I had no problems with that. The base that the bulb attaches to isn't fixed, but it presses the bulb firmly against the front of the head to keep it level.
