Davias Luggage Suitcase Wheels Repair Kit - 1 Pair, Black Review

With spare wheels I was able to fix the broken wheels of our 25 year old luggage. The hardest part was removing the old wheels which were riveted so had to be drilled and rebored. Installing new wheels took about five minutes. Just make sure you check all sizing options to order the right size!

It was perfect. We have a Travelpro Crew 6 luggage which is in perfect condition except for the wheels. The part holding the wheel came out after loosening the screw. The old wheel was held in place with a rivet that we were able to remove. And these fit perfectly. We saved a lot of money for a new suitcase and the wheels still roll like arses.

These wheels are a good replacement for my Samsonite padded suitcase. This was quite labour-intensive, since 4 rivers had to be drained for each wheel. I used Phillips connector pins on both ends for assembly. I added washers as spacers and reinforcements. Yes, I added about $11 in hardware to make it work. Case works like new!

My golf bag had wheels. I had to google luggage wheels and look for the right size. The add-on for these wheels included all relevant sizes with diagrams to clearly show what the physical measurement is. My original wheels didn't have a factory or part number - the same goes for the new ones I received. This was the only wheelset that matched my original measurements and they fit!

Thanks everyone for the feedback, especially the negative ones. After inspecting the wheels, I noticed that the bearing in one of them was not centered and neither were spinning freely. They would work, but probably not optimally. I pushed the bearing until it was centered. Then I lubricated each bearing with 20 viscosity oil, which was easy. Both began to spin freely, as if on roller skates. They fit on the Travelpro Walkabout 3 with existing axles almost like new.

The wheels on my old American Tourister literally fell apart after years of use. They are better because they are not hard plastic. You don't "click and click" on tiles. They are made of the same material as roller skate wheels. They came with the necessary equipment. I just added a couple of thin washers to help with spacing and alignment as my suitcase's attachment point was a little "wrong". drilled and cut. It's not the new kit's fault. Very good kit. Good quality wheels when you are ready to get the job done. A caveat unrelated to this product is the complicated replacement work, which should only be done by someone who is comfortable and has decent tools.
