I should try to contact Daystar directly and speak to them about any issues with their assembly. What a pain in the ass of assembly quality, I'm sure it will hold up, but it doesn't fit the Cherokee, oh and I had to change the spacing of the bolt holes that attach to the transmission.

This bracket needs a bit of modification to fit, the 2 holes that bolt to the gearbox don't match so you have to put them in the center rotates a bit, but it's also nearly an inch shorter than the stock bracket. So if you have a transfer case lowering kit, it should be removed. The rest of the mount is good and very stiff too.

Fits 2000 XJ with minor modifications. If your standard mount isn't misaligned then I didn't have that little sander job on the outer plate and it snapped right into place, took fifteen minutes with the sander and it fitted. If you don't like vibration when idle don't buy this mount but if you don't mind vibration then this is a really good mount and it lowers your body by 1 inch so it's a great mount if you don't want to. want to put tcase drop kit

Bought to replace a broken factory bracket. Didn't realize it was 1 inch shorter... but it's shorter than the factory original because now the exhaust rattles against the cross member. It also doesn't sit entirely flush with the crossmember (because it's stiffer)...and the amount of noise transmitted into the cabin is unbearable, which I expected created more problems than it solved.

Two other reviews for this product mention that this mount doesn't move. That's right, if you cross reference this mount on the Daystar website you will find that it is a TJ mount but it does fit some XJs. No offset. As other reviewers have written this bracket is not valid. I checked my mount before ordering, it was centered so I bought it. Just finished installing and again, as one of the reviewers mentioned, one of the alignment holes doesn't line up and you have to open the hole to allow the mount to seat properly.
