Easy installation on my 01 TJ Sport.

I did a lot of research before purchasing. based on personal experiences of other Jeepers. The brand and quality of the screws seemed to be the key factor. Daystar did not disappoint. Installation takes less than an hour with minimal tools and your TJ elevated on (4) ramps. High quality black screws and rubber gaskets. Very happy. Highly recommended

A good economical way to lower the transfer case.

A good inexpensive way to lower the transfer case to bring the transfer angles back to normal. Pan head screws mate well with the tapered mounting holes in the transaxle crossmember provided the holes are not worn down by rust. If they have a puck, that will help.

Great product and premium feel

need to fix the axle angle on my rear driveshaft. This almost completely solved my problem (raising the tj 6 inches causes the universal joint to stick to the pivot attached to the sliding fork). If I had a lower lift it would fix everything. With this product and the SYE kit the problem is solved. No bad vibrations and burned universal joints. Now for me nothing but off-road adventures!

a good product. eliminated my vibration

completely eliminated my vibration from the 4 inch lifter on my tj. Installation took 30 minutes. Going forward I will be going the right way with a sye kit and drive shaft to match, but until then it's a great kit. My only problem is the hex head screws. I understand the idea was to make it flush, but I don't like the idea of its possible stripping. I haven't had a very good experience with torx screws or hex screws, especially ones that tight.

Wrong screws! best replacement parts

They are advertised as having a 1 inch drop but they actually measure 1.25 inches. Polyurethane is a hard rubber compound. So when you reinstall the transfer case skid plate, it compresses a little, but not much. This worked for my 2" lifter in my 04 TJ. The screws that come with the kit (1/2"x13) are the wrong size mentioned by others here. They only fit older TJs. The newer TJ (03-06?) uses M12 x 1.25", I ended up using M13 x 1.25" x 70mm. And it worked again for my application. So 4 stars…

The metal sleeve does not let the bolt through.

I bought a 1" Daystar transfer case base to try to compensate for some driveshaft vibration from my previous 2" jack on my 98 foot Jeep Wrangler Sport. I tried to put the pieces together before installing but couldn't complete the process. As the name suggests, the screw has the same diameter as the metal sleeve, which prevents it from going through the screw as grooves are left in the sleeve after machining. I tried threading the screw through the bushing, assuming that was why it was…

WORKS PERFECTLY WITHOUT VIBRATION!

I liked the 5/16 hex screw heads on the screws, they placed the skid plate right where it should be, although they should have made it with a slightly larger diameter head. Assemble by removing the two center screws on either side, then inserting new screws, screwing them all the way in, removing all four corner screws, and then loosening the center screws a little over an inch one at a time to release the outer bushings and the one to be installed Bolt, then remove the two center bolts, then…

High quality and does what it's supposed to

About 5 months ago I "temporarily" reset the disc and there was still a slight gear vibration. I finally decided to order this kit and it feels like I'm driving a different car now. In time I will buy a SYE kit and get it "right" but I am very impressed with the quality of this kit, especially at this price point. Tip for anyone doing this for the first time: Place a jack and stand underneath. sliding plate. Starting on one side of the skid plate, remove the two outer screws, leaving the middle
