Enhance Fuel Pump Performance with DeatschWerks FPHWK Fuel Pump Hardwire Installation Kit Review

My relay that came with the kit was faulty. I disassembled the relay and verified that the relay switch inside the device is not working properly. I had to buy a new general purpose relay and solder it to these wires. A simple test of the product would show this.

The item seemed fine. I hooked it up and couldn't help but get the relay that came with the kit to switch the power. Bought an Outzone relay and it worked fine. In addition to the quality of the cables, a defective relay was also reported. Installed on a 1988 Toyota Supra.

I wasn't sure if this would help with my ka-t setup after installing a Walbro 255 l/h fuel pump but it did. The fuel pump is more audible and now receives more voltage than before. Works great and a little cheaper. Of course I could have bought the same parts cheaper, but I didn't have time to wait for them all to arrive. They give lots of positive hookup wire; I had 2 extra feet that I rolled up.

The instructions leave a lot to be desired, but since there were discrepancies in the previous version of the instructions, I consider them sufficient. The kit is solidly assembled, from the moment of installation there were no problems. Definitely recommend this kit.
