It's doing great but when you draw something dark you need more than you think to hide your project. I recommend getting a size up so you don't have to go back!

I liked using Americana Chalk Paint, but I also recommend Walmart's Folk Art Chalk Paint. I've had a lot of bottles and they don't stick together like Americana chalk paint. I find folk art looks much better on surfaces.

Not sure if it's paint but would need 4-5 coats to fully cover my work. I've read reviews of other colors that were really positive, but I haven't read all the reviews for lace. Instead of buying another can I bought the Walmart brand which works great! It only took one coat from a $4 can that was significantly thicker with better coverage. This color is so creamy and has good coverage. When I opened the container I didn't have to stir. I painted the shelf with it, let it dry for 24 hours before sanding it lightly, and then waxed it with Americana Creme Wax (with a paint rag). This was my first painting project and it came out beautifully. I've added a "before" photo of the ugly yellow shelf and another after painting it with lace chalk.

Easy to use and only needs a coat or two to fully cover natural wood. I ended up using about 3 cans of 8oz and 1 can of 16oz to cover the entire dresser and then another 16oz can to cover the parts yellowed by the same brand of matte sealer (use not that, trust me) . ). Otherwise I love this paint. The only downside is that it's textured even after it's been covered with a protective film. So if you're looking for a flat or matte look, this isn't the best color.
