🔧 DEER U Road MTB Wheel Hub Skewers - Quick Release Clip Bolt Axle QR 145/180mm (Pair) Review

When the mover lost my bike nut I was concerned that I would have a hard time or spend too much money to replace some components but this part did the job and at a great price!

I bought these for a friend who needed to replace some hubs on his bike. I came from typical measurements and they were so wrong that they couldn't be used and I had to return them. If I remember correctly they were offset by 12mm or 1.2cm.

Returns. The appearance of the mechanism is thin plastic with a very thin layer of metal. They are approx. 0.5 mm thinner than branded skewers. Also, they are shorter than usual. Do yourself a favor - spend another $10 on a brand name for such an important component.

Front Pivot Not 145 mm. Closer to 123mm (measuring the functional length of the stem). The skewers appear to be well made and look nice, but I needed the exact size to work with the new suspension fork. So these skewers go in the parts bin and I go back to shopping instead of driving.

skewers are all made with a defect. I didn't notice this at first as they were well made, slipped easily over the bike and tightened well, but on closer inspection I noticed that the skewers were about 0.5mm thinner than the original skewers that came with the bike were delivered. This slight difference in metal thickness causes the wheel to wobble. The wheel wobbles very badly and I should have given this product 1 star.

I believe they will work well, but they are orange rather than gold. I ordered a seatpost clamp from the same seller and thought the color should be the same for both items, stupid of me! The seatpost clamp was the exact gold color, but the picture of these skewers on Amazon looked like the seatpost was gold, not the orange one I received. I was very disappointed that the color was wrong, I can't use it.

The product sizes given do not match what is expected. The seller specifies the length, which includes the length of the skewer, QR end nuts, and hinged washer on the ends. Of course, if you measure the distance you need to stretch at the frame/fork of the bike, this will NOT match the measurements this seller gives. My bike has 170mm clearance on both sides of the frame from the outside for the axle mount. The advertised length of 180mm is misleading. The skewer is TOO SHORT. Actually only 160
