Best value! on Door Hardware & Locks

I love how cheap and effective this lock is! My little one knows very well how to open our slider. And sometimes I just don't want him out there. He can never outwit this lock! You must be able to use a drill press to install this.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • I'll Be Quiet

An old-school solution that still works.

They don't have big business anymore, but Ace does. They would rather buy a rebuilt buddy bar or a new lock. I installed 2 in each of our 4 old aluminum patio doors with damaged locks and now feel completely safe.

Pros
  • Certificate GOLS
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

You can shake it out

put this in and if you shake the sliding glass door hard it falls out - so it's a waste and anyone breaking in just has to shake it out (maybe go Your alarm clock goes off like ours but someone can still turn it We ended up using a wood screw and the grooves in the screw hold it in place.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • not bad but...

Sturdy dog door, works as expected

We actually bought these to use as an extra security measure for the dog door. We found that an adult could probably walk through when removing the lid, and that made me a little nervous. This is a great solution as the door panel cannot be lifted with the pin in place.

  • Great product

Use it to secure the refrigerator door.

I used this to secure the fridge door in my RV and it worked great with an adjustment. There was a small flange on the pin that got stuck at times, I sanded it down and it works great now. Tip: I drilled holes at a 30 degree angle in the refrigerator doors (Amana) so that the bolt cannot simply slip out.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Volume

Inexpensive, easy to install and worry-free!

The chain broke after a few weeks and we just laid the pen on the surface for a while and then crawled across the floor to find it as one of those boys inevitably knocked it off the surface. Realizing it was just sheer laziness and a lack of ingenuity, I removed the twist from the bread and used it to reattach the needle. It's amazing how much tranquility this little chateau offers. My sons and nieces cannot go through the back door and it is unlikely that people will be able to go in.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Exchangeable
