I had a bad maf last year and dropped in price and bought a Chinese fake at 1/3 the price. Everything was fine for about 4 months and bam I got more MAF codes. As far as electronics for engine control systems in vehicles go, I would recommend factory parts over the aftermarket unless you are building a high performance car with more expensive components. Brand new unit, it is exactly the same as my original which I took out and has lasted 13 years and 140,000 miles. Also a simple fix, first disconnect the negative battery post, then loosen a couple of ribbon clamps and disconnect the wiring harness. Pull out old Delphi box (original equipment manufacturer), insert new one, tighten clamps, reconnect wiring harness and battery negative pole.
