Does not work well. the best electric fuel pump

This started failing a week after the window was closed when it could be returned. They diagnosed the pressure not holding due to a check valve malfunction.

Be patient and only apply a little force to the seals.

Product fits and works great. Tight space but manageable for a tall person with 3 arms. Cover the spot with plastic, some of the fuel will spill. Clean with air before starting and keep clean while working. Installation was easy and took less than two hours including setup and cleaning.

Look at the form. Liven up my car!

This fuel pump fitted my 2005 (build date 02/2005) base model Mini Cooper R50 perfectly. The pump worked great but I damaged the gear unit during installation and as a result my fuel gauge showed inaccurate and erratic readings. I finally got the pump back out, found the damage and was able to replace the gear unit with that of the old pump and now it reads correctly.
