Better Fuel System Performance with this Strainer

This strainer definitely boosts the performance of my fuel system. My car is running smoother and more efficiently than before. The installation was easy and the quality of this item is impressive..

Useless filter ruins fuel system

As my tests showed, this filter is not only worthless but can actually cause more harm than good. The installation process was a nightmare and once it was in place it completely clogged my fuel system. .

Pros
  • Pro: None
Cons
  • Con: Clogs fuel system, difficult installation

My 2nd generation Subaru Legacy does not have this filter.

On my second generation Subaru Legacy, this screen does not reach as far to the tank as the one it replaces. This leaves some of the fuel unusable at the bottom of the tank or in an internal return tank inside the tank like the Legacy. Not a huge difference but I wish I had noticed.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Can be retrofitted
