This would work perfectly for what I need, but I don't see any real security in it. I may be wrong and if so maybe someone or the seller can explain this to me better but even if the skewer is blocked the bold print on the other side of the skewer can be completely removed. So if I went to the bike with a wrench it felt like I could just unscrew the black nut and everything would loosen enough to take the bike off.

Great mount at a great price. I installed 2 of these mounts in the cockpit of my 4runner. That works great! Expect a lot of trial and error on initial installation, but once you get the hang of it, simply mount the connector, snap and lock, done! The included locks are cheap but I use them in the cab when parking. Public, but I wouldn't rely on these locks to deter thieves from open cab pickups or roof mounts. All in all it was a great purchase, heavy mounts!

This is great! I have 2 of these installed on a 2X10 securely mounted on the back of my truck. I don't have to tie down the bikes and they don't move an inch. Locking mechanism provides some protection against accidental theft. The open chamber is huge and allows for a lot of travel. Once you set the acorn nut, you never have to touch it again. However, make sure that the curved plastic washer engages the cam properly. They can be a little difficult to open, but at least I know they're secure. I got this clutch about a week ago and have used it several times since. I would like to say that for such a price this hitch is one of the best I have found. The hitch does not come with any screws or bolts, so be prepared to find screws or bolts. I found the (1/4)-20 and (1/4)-28 screws to fit perfectly.
