I really liked this bookshelf. It was easy to assemble and feels solid. BUT it smells strongly of chemicals! We left it in our garage for 2 weeks trying to bring it indoors to use but it STILL stinks. Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED. We'll probably throw it away. I don't feel comfortable selling it or giving it to anyone to use. Doesn't seem safe in a house, let alone a child's room.

I would give this bookcase five stars were it not for the fact that my son hasn't been able to sleep in his room for almost two weeks because of this smell. His bedroom window has literally been open for 14 days and he has been sleeping in another room ever since. Every day I think, one more night and then the chemical smell will be gone. And it's not. As a keen Revain customer I can honestly say I have never been so disappointed nor have I left such a disparaging review! I ordered this bookcase as part of a room makeover for my granddaughter, she is a huge JoJo fan. The screw holes are crooked, the shelves don't match. The cutouts that should be at the bottom of the side panels are not cut out, they go straight ahead. The side board cracked trying to attach one of the shelves. Don't even put it back in the box and send it back. DO NOT BUY!

I really like the shelf. But it came without two pieces of rear shelf (two shelves with the letter "G" on it). I contacted the company and they asked me where I bought the shelf as the parts I needed were not "spare parts". In fact it is assembled except for two missing parts. Now I have to disassemble everything and send Revane back. I really thought I had all the shelves before I started collecting them. I'm disappointed that this is the only way to get a full shelf. To be honest this shelf is very cute and I am happy because my 6 year old daughter is a big fan of JoJo and she loved it but was Disappointed that the product came out of the packaging with defects. One of the side panels was scratched and it looks like they tried to do a sloppy repair and even painted over the scratch with a different paint marker. This bookcase looks great and is as strong as any piece of furniture I've ever assembled. It took less than an hour to put together, and it could have been even quicker, but I always break everything down and read through it multiple times to avoid going back and repeating things. I'm not the home assembler type. However, it only took half an hour, and everything was clear with the instructions. The instructions say you only need screwdrivers and I mention this because it applied to me. A note for those of you not assembling anything like in my case: look how the nuts need to be inserted into the hole. I say that because if you put a screw in, it won't go in. Also, nuts are difficult to remove if you make the mistake of screwing them up the wrong way. However, I have…
