Great skewers. However, on my bike, the rear skewer continued to loosen, forcing me to revert to the original quick release. That's normal, because I block the rear wheel with the frame anyway. The front skewer is in perfect condition (have been using it for about 6 months now), it doesn't come off and prevents theft since I don't lock this wheel. I'm assuming all of these parts are aluminum, including the wrench, so you can't over-tighten them.

They're designed to give your wheels temporary protection. These things aren't designed for you to leave your bike in Brooklyn overnight or anything. They are needed to attach the wheels to the bike while leaving them unattended for short periods of time. Drive around town, stop at the shop, have lunch, etc. They protect your wheels. UPDATE: Well a week later I had to remove the tires to replace the tube which I did. Meet problem number one, which is loose skewers. Okay, that shouldn't be happening at all, let alone in a week. I mean, I put these things on to the point where I was afraid of breaking the axle. That shouldn't happen, and it's dangerous for drivers when it does, because if your tire comes off the ground at all, you'll get sick. And since there are other reviewers here saying the same thing about the same…
