Always buy a brand new compressor - don't buy a refurbished

The car was a 2009 Infiniti QX56. My original compressor failed and I had to fix it. I live in Arzona, where it's always 90 degrees Celsius. I almost made the mistake of buying a refurbished one, but I'm so glad I didn't. It's worth the money and value you get with a 'new' compressor and the 1 year warranty is the best bang for your buck. mention that you don't have to pay for the core? yes you don't

Pros
  • No Core Charge Req.
Cons
  • Expensive

I bought a compressor for the 2nd Armada car, unfortunately (probably) due to the logistics with long business trips we did not have the opportunity to install the compressor immediately in the shop. The compressor was installed and failed after 8 months (assuming 2 months were winter). The general response from the supplier was that we had exceeded the one year warranty. I did not expect such performance from an OEM compressor. Dissatisfied.

Pros
  • Single quantity
Cons
  • Good but not great

Job done at a good price - parts missing

So far so good. Completed work costs less than $250 compared to $1,000 in store. The only problem is that there are no instructions. Not to do the job, you can watch it on YouTube, but it says it's pre-filled with compressor oil, but the amount isn't listed anywhere. The amount of oil varies between models, so I had to pour as much as I could into a measuring cup and add a few ounces. I believe it came with just over 4 ounces preloaded. It took me about 9. Also, most compressors come with…
