So far so good - Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)

Bought 4 of these for my Honda CR-V when I was putting on new tires as my old ones were working great. I know they are only 8-10 years old and mine was 10 years old. Installed tire changer and restarted computer to recognize it and no problems so far.

Pros
  • Accessories and parts
Cons
  • Useless features

No more TPMS lights!

After years of watching this warning light, I wanted an error-free dashboard. When one sensor's battery dies, others will follow. I replaced everything with fresh production. I will not see this TPMS light for years! Denso parts are Honda OEMs in many subsystems.

Pros
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)
Cons
  • I'll be silent

Newer cars (2013 (of course) and newer on the Accord) have a button. You push a button and drive a bit, and the car does the rest. This is called indirect programming. Another method, called direct programming, requires a special scanner. The tire shop I used charges $30 for the program (and $80 for a new sensor), but for some reason they couldn't get it to…

Pros
  • tires and wheels
Cons
  • working speed
