This is for 3/8 OD lines. NOT for 3/8 " ID line

The barb itself is 1/4", not 3/8", so they only fit 3/8" OD line. If you need something that fits the ID 3/8 line, you'll have to find something else. In addition, they look strong and have a solid appearance.

Excellent quality fittings

They were for a home brew pump system to cool my wort before pitching the yeast, so I needed stainless steel to make everything food safe and hygienic. The workmanship was smooth and professional quality with no loose parts or anything. Highly recommended for all your 304 stainless steel needs!

NO stainless steel and the acid in my kombucha will attack the galvanized mandrel.

These spikes are covered with something that isn't stainless steel. The outside has already started to peel off and if you put it in vinegar the coating will start to peel off. If you're worried about leaching, I'd be very careful with them. I would have bought stainless steel for more beers but they didn't have those special rivets.
