Great deal. Adheres very well to clean plastic. Also very thin which is nice when the tolerance is very tight. Should be suitable for any project where you need to make your own heat shield or barrier.

Temperature test between 400 and 1000 degrees Fahrenheit prior to installation on an RV diesel engine. The glue has melted, but the foil hasn't even lost its luster. It's safe around extreme heat.

The product has been folded into the packaging in the photo! Based on the photos in the ad I assumed it would be a roll with no creases! The product will work fine, but it's not visually appealing! The list is ambiguous! Sheet folded with folds

Now using as a super thin layer between the bare car and the dynamo. However, there are many clean surfaces that it just won't stick to, or just can't stick to well. However, Dynamat had no problem sticking to the same surfaces. Can't comment on the temperature control as I used a dynamat instead.

, I placed this on a temporary platter outside of some stair shelves 6" from my backup wood stove and the surface is cool to the touch. The shelves got very hot prior to installation so I used Barrier Works amazingly super sticky and easy to roll out with a squeegee on the rough side of the melamine. No smell!

This material does not reduce temperature. I have a simple test case with a hair dryer, a metal plate under the seat of my van with a reflector printed on it, and a thermometer. Heat builds up for several minutes on the side I want to protect. How will this shield conduct heat away from the motor? I get what you're saying, aluminum reflects heat etc. But my goal is to keep the engine heat out of the van's interior. It was a bad buy and a waste of money. I can't understand how the reviewers say…
