Much more bass! Great progress!

Significant improvement in sound quality, especially bass. My rear speakers are in the B-pillars and are aligned to the side like a door speaker. I recently installed new Cerwin Vega speakers and a 200w Kenwood head unit. The extra power from my old speakers rattled the doors and body panels, but I didn't seem to have much bass in the car. Just a whole tremor. Someone suggested this and I'm glad they did! The Boom Mats were a bit large for my speaker cabinets, but because they are flexible I…

Accessory Bass Robbers

Could confirm they rob bass. I have an s2000 and bought these to protect my door speakers from water damage and was hoping they would improve the overall sound, but in the end all I got was a little protection and minimal sound improvements. I started by moving the baffle to the right and immediately heard that the mids were better. but the bass sounded muffled and had an odd sound compared to the left side which had no baffles (I did this by switching from the right to the left speaker on the…

Completely changes the sound for the worse!

Don't make a fool of this product. Might work for you, but here's my honest experience. in my 2008 GMC Sierra pickup. There is a known issue with the truck's speakers failing, allegedly water issues in the door, but I haven't seen anything. Anyway, I installed these speaker baffles on the boom mats because they supposedly improve the sound and keep moisture out. Radio turned on and I had absolutely no bass sound. I only had high mids and highs. It sounded like mono stereo. I figured it was a…

Actually a little TOO tight

I installed these with some Rockford Fosgate speakers that I have used in other cars in the past. I like the clear highs and lows of these speakers. I've never used baffles before so I decided to give it a try. After I installed them, the speakers were not only very quiet, they had almost no bass. So I cut a hole in the side of the divider. This immediately fixed the problem and now tight and deep bass comes out of these speakers. My guess is that because I installed the speakers directly onto…
