They are of good quality. Just normal rubber pants (I mean elastic) with some protection between the knees and the saddle. Can be used. You can buy cheap stretch skinny jeans for half the price. I haven't bought new breeches for many years and I was a little apprehensive, but I like these. They're probably thicker than most, but I love them. The first pair I bought was a little big so I went down a size and now they are perfect. I'm small, 5ft 4" and about 120lbs(?), and the 26R fits perfectly. I live in New Orleans so it gets hot in the spring and summer but I'm fine with that and I think they will work in the cooler months as well. I like that they don't have velcro at the bottom but

I wear these breeches several times a week. They always look good and are great for riding in hot and humid weather. They are very cool, the fabric is soft, pleasant to the touch and the ribbing makes them slightly "greasy". They wash great too. I usually line dry them, but when I'm in a hurry I put them in the dryer and they machine dry just fine too. They're not "low-slung," so they don't slide off your back when you're driving, and they don't create that awful "muffin" that drivers my age…
