This is NOT a nailer. It is only suitable for very light stapling work on soft materials as thick as a piece of cardboard. The maximum bar size required is 5/8" and it won't even be able to drive it fully into most but the softest pine woods. It's no better with staples than with nails. very powerful If you want a real nailer, buy a pneumatic one.
Be careful when buying. They would recommend 1 1/4 nails that don't even fit. Please read the description first before purchasing. I sent mine back because I can't use it for what I need. I had the daunting task of installing heavy aluminum foil in my attic to reduce Florida's extremely hot summer temperatures.
