Disappointing Automotive Socket Set

This socket set was a huge letdown. While the packaging and brand name suggested reliability, these tools proved otherwise. The sockets were poorly machined and wouldn't properly grip bolts. The one pro I could find was that they looked nice in my toolbox. Unfortunately, looks don't make up for a lack of functionality. Skip these and invest in a better set.

Pros
  • Appealing Packaging
Cons
  • Poor Machining, Doesn't Grip Bolts.

Perfect size for work

Replacement head (original HF head set lost). Fits perfectly in a blow molded case/suitcase. Yes, only 6 instead of 12 points; Yes, it doesn't shine like the others in the set, but it does the job.

Pros
  • Heat treated CR-440 steel for strength and durability
Cons
  • Security

Works great!: Power and hand tools

Bought this socket wrench to loosen the hex nuts on a rotary mower. .Getting rid of these villains would require a visit to the machine shop. This socket worked great removing and installing nuts.

Pros
  • DirectTorque technology helps prevent fastener rounding
Cons
  • Non automatic
