Strong bits but dull quickly when working with metal.

A 3/8" bit was used to poke a few holes in relatively thin metal. The blade dulled quickly. Overall feels however, the set feels solid and will likely last a long time if used in non-metal or wood applications. While it held up well to metal (not bent or broken or even heated a bit), the drill dulling was quite noticeable even on the second hole .I don't know how to prevent this problem as I thought cobalt drill bits are designed to drill metal without significant wear. Also there was some kind…

Decent quality set.

In my opinion the best value for money drill set for metal drilling. I've had better kits but they also set me back a couple 20 more. I needed a decent kit because I had to drill out some pretty strong clamped bolts holding the seats that had failed in my 20 year old truck. I had a set of Dewalt titanium drill bits and broke about 5 drill bits in 10 minutes trying to drill through screws. I bought cobalt because I saw positive reviews and noticed at a home store that they only show the metal. I

Very aggressive bits

Let me start by saying I have a lot of experience with fabrication, milling, machining and other useful things around the house. They are excellent for quickly drilling holes in most materials. They come out of the box very sharp. I think if you drill aluminum they will be perfect, although they can be aggressive enough to make you grab. Never use them to cut brass or they will grab and damage your work piece, which can lead to injury. I bought them for drilling in steel and initially they…
