Terrible quality. Broke after a few uses. The sleeve has come loose.

I have bought several Dewalt bit holders. They don't last long. The case fell off after a few uses. Dewalt Revain probably offered a volume discount for a poor quality product. Or maybe these longer types are easier to break compared to the shorter ones. I used a shorter one that took a lot of abuse before eventually failing and falling apart. But these long ones broke after spinning some 4x4 and 2x4 boards.

Incorrect Length: Bit Holder

I read reviews that said this bit holder/extension was 5" instead of 6". I figured 5 inches would be enough for my application. However, the extension is just under 4 3/4 inches, not even 5 inches. In fact, the bit's reach only increases by 4 3/8 inches, so a total fail for what I need. If you just need to extend the reach of your tool to 4 3/8", this extender looks good and is a good brand name. I have no idea why it's marked 6".

Weak magnet, fell apart but can still be used if held properly.

The magnet is too weak to hold the screw. Doesn't magnetize the 2" DeWalt Philips bit and there's too much wobble between them. Securely holds a short hex point. The leveling cylinder slides up and down easily - too easily. When I pulled it back it slipped down the screw again as the percussion instrument vibrated. I ended up holding it most of the time when using it to turn a screw. Holding it at an angle with the sliding lid all the way down worked, but the lid dug into the wood. Drives in…
