DEWALT DW4908: High-Quality 10 Inch Crimped Wire Brush for Precision Work Review

I have a large die grinder with a 1" mandrel so I had to drill out the center flanges. At the time, the wheel was too wide for my grinder, so I made a 1/2" steel spacer. The tube is bent to fit the end cap. After adding five longer bolts, I was able to use the grinder with the new brush let it run. This is an amazing spoked wheel considering its size, weight and low price. As my title suggests, this is the best price I have ever received on a mail order item. Just wow.

This is not the type of wire wheel you typically find at Lowes or Home Depot. This is a large, industrial quality spoked wheel. I put it on my 8 inch grinder to remove rust from bolts and old rusted tractor parts. He is very aggressive and gets the job done quickly. But be careful. Hand. It removes skin even faster than rust from old rusty metal. Would definitely recommend this to a friend along with a warning to be careful. Good product. I plan to get another one as a backup.

I put it on the buffing machine along with this spoked wheel that I ordered. There weren't many options for a .75" shaft on a polisher. This wheel has a wide surface and does an excellent job of removing rust, which is my primary use of it. I run it at 1725 rpm, which is about what I use, although from what I recall it's fine up to 3600 rpm. My polisher has 2 speeds and I use the slower speed.
