I now have several different sizes of these Dewalt core drills. I add them because I have a job that requires them and Amazon always has the best price. They always do their job and have never let me down. The only problem is that they are almost impossible to remove from the shaft in the field. I usually bring them back to our shop and disassemble them with a couple of wrenches and a vise.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Drill these holes for drill

I need to drill five inch round holes in hard cement. For a dry drill this works very well. It should say somewhere that this bit requires both a shank and a medium bit, so that's about $75 more. Also, this bit may not work well overall. However, it copes well with smooth cement and concrete. When you reach the maximum depth (about 3 inches), pull out the bit and drill out the first cut, then you can stop drilling. I made 20 holes without regrinding.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled

Reviewers in uniform

Don't listen to the reviews below. These basic bits are top quality bits. If you buy a little bit, you have to do your homework. This bit is part of the core drilling system. You will also need a gazebo that fits your drill. Usually SDS max for Hilti drills. Then you also need another bit that you can use as a shaft. I have a full set of 2" to 6" and have ridden them through hell. Concrete to brick, through rebar and directly through wood. You won't find anything better in this price range…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
