Efficient Core Body for Industrial Drilling

We recently tried out a Core Body for industrial drilling, and it proved to be an essential tool for our work. Based on our own experience, the DEWALT product we used was top-notch. We were impressed with the way it enabled us to easily target the center of the hole we were drilling, making our work much more efficient. The only downside we noticed was a slight increase in vibration, although that was easily manageable with our safety gear. Overall, we think this Centering Core Body is an…

Pros
  • Allows for accurate drilling in tile, stone, and other hard materials.
Cons
  • Only compatible with DEWALT brand rotary hammers.

It's longer with more threads than mine.

This is a longer drill bit with more threads than my core bit. Hopefully it will last longer than the stock 12 hole centering tool.

Pros
  • Two-piece concrete drill bit design with carbide tip allows for easy diameter changes
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Does his job. but not for long

These pivots ALWAYS break. I'm an experienced radon mitigator and drill at least 2.4 inches a day into concrete. Often up to 6.4 inch holes. These bits go like crazy and are never used for their intended purpose. For me they failed on the first hole and for me they lasted over 100 cores. If they don't break on the threads, they will break on the grooves. I wish there was a better product, unfortunately I have to buy them regularly to continue the business.

Pros
  • Replacement pivots for maximum life
Cons
  • Doubtful
