DEWALT DW7028 Miter Extension Support Review

This extra support is what I expected. Well built and strong. I will be using it to support the extensions on my DWX723 miter saw stand. I highly recommend this item.

This is a decent hand support. I'm not thrilled with how it attaches to the arm and it could be improved with a diagonal brace. You need to check if your stand is banging or moving at all.

Essential for the deWalt miter saw stand. Prevents extensions from sagging when cutting decking or heavy wood. A bit pricey for what you get but worth it. I wish it was made in the USA and not China.

Pretty good support bracket for a Dewalt miter saw stand. I've found that the ends bend when cutting longer, heavier materials and this solves that problem. The locking mechanism wasn't just a plastic knob with a screw, but it worked.

Fully extended, the feed lever on the corner post needs support if cutting precision is important. If you are only sawing wood for decking or other rough construction, no support is required. With difficult cast cuts, however, the stability provided by the extension support is absolutely helpful.

Will definitely buy 2 of these when buying a Dewalt miter saw stand. The length seems fixed, which is something a lot of people complain about, but they work very well and are necessary to trim something like a 10ft footer. They can be too short if you're on uneven ground, but I usually try to choose a level sawing surface. This is an essential addition to the Dewalt range of miter saw stands as you can buy at least one but I would recommend 2. You never know how long or heavy the next thing…

After reading the other reviews I almost didn't buy this stand. But I decided that if they didn't work I would return them and keep looking. I have a DWX723 miter saw stand (full size that extends to 150 inches) and love it. great job supporting the 12" Milwaukee slider I installed on it. Not an easy saw. I often have to cut 12ft and longer lumber and/or moldings so extensions are good but sometimes need more support when fully extended to support 2x lumber. I bought 2 of these thinking if they
