I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to change them. New knives cut much better. I won't wait that long to replace them again.

These blades hold up well and can be re-sharpened several times for later use, unlike some other planer blades which can just be flipped over and then thrown away.

WOW! I'm not sure if these are genuine DeWalt blades, I didn't even have time to get through the first piece of 5" x 8" alder before they started burning and knocking the grinder out! My old blades that are 12 years old and have been sharpened 4 times have never done this.

I bought these blades to replace worn blades on a machine I bought used. With these new knives, the planer cuts smoother and works much less than with the old knives. The difference is amazing. I now have a spare set so I always have sharp blades in stock. I would definitely recommend these blades.

There are no complaints about these knives. I ran a lot of wood through my old DeWalt. Maple, elm, walnut. These blades are quite sharp and hold up well. Since I have spare parts in stock, I just send them in for sharpening from time to time. I usually sharpen the planer knives myself, but it's a lot easier for me to ship planer knives, especially if I have a saw blade or two that also needs sharpening.

These knives are made from two sheets of steel welded together and are made just like the old knives. One part, the base, is made of strong, durable steel, and the blade of the knife is made of high-speed steel to hold the blade, which is sorely needed for the blades to do their job. Not only are these some of the most durable knives for the price, they can also be resharpened, unlike later model planes that use less expensive disposable blades.
