Broke within a week

I thought DeWalt was a good brand so I took a chance on this ratchet breaking within a week of use so it was returned. I also didn't like the hard ratcheting action, felt like the cheap, inferior department store unit known for the Stanley and Craftsmen units which I have tried and also returned. I would stay away unless for occasional or occasional use.

Pros
  • Socket
Cons
  • Minor issues

DeWalt is good. I like DeWalt.

I like DeWalt. DeWalt is good. DeWalt is expensive, but DeWalt is good. It's a good tool because DeWalt is good, but because it's good it's expensive. It's good to be expensive because that means the tool is as good as DeWalt's. I will always buy DeWalt tools because they tend to be good, expensive tools that I enjoy using.

Pros
  • Key
Cons
  • Nothing

Does DeWalt make a ratchet?

I had no idea DeWalt made ratchet wrenches but I'm glad I found out now. I've been looking for an alternative to Craftsman wrenches for a long time. I love the Craftsman's hull style for its comfort, but now that Sears is all but gone I don't want to rely on the Craftsman to always be nearby. These DeWalt wrenches are heavy and solid in the hand, with a nice smooth ratcheting action.

Pros
  • Power and Hand Tools
Cons
  • Some Little Stuff

I own several of these and love them!

I have several Dewalt ratchets and love them! My wife recently changed jobs and needed a ratchet to tighten pallet straps for her new job, so I knew right away what I was ordering for her. This thing takes a beating every day by someone who doesn't like tools and I know it will last for years. I also bought her a Dewalt socket to power the pallet belt system. I have no doubt that both window sills will withstand violence, I know they will see with no problem. And eventually they'll probably goโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Powerful ratchet with redesigned slim head.

I have my new redesigned Dewalt 3/8" ratchet. Fine teeth, narrow oval head, much lighter than the previous Dewalt ratchet, positive direction switch, quick release! Just tried some water tightening Heat tape screws, no problem although time will tell how durable this ratchet is. So far I am very happy with the new design! Update: Having used the 3/8" ratchet I have a redesigned Dewalt 1/4 ordered and received "ratchet. ratchet. I added some oil inside so far so good!

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • Some bugs
