My device emits a burning smell when it is switched on. To return. Build quality is good overall, feels much better than Rigid or Workshop.

This was a replacement for our other vacuum cleaner which never seemed to have enough power and kept clogging. I bought this to try and I wish I had years ago. An amazing vacuum cleaner with very powerful suction and a large opening to minimize clogging. I will use another vacuum outside to pick up leaves and dirt.

The main switch broke after 4 months. I contacted Dewalt and they said it's not their product? They referred me to the company that is the licensee and I was unable to contact anyone there to get a replacement switch. Nobody answers, the mailbox is full. Very disappointed as I have many Dewalt products and am happy with them but not with this one.

To my surprise and too late to bring it back, the vacuum is made by DeWalt and the hose will NOT connect to the dust box of ANY of my DeWalt tools. purchased, as well as every adapter for these tools that deWalt makes. Who makes a vacuum cleaner and doesn't have a hose or nozzle to connect to any of the tools I spent $1,000 on from the same company. Please, DeWalt, take a look at this missed opportunity. New vacuum cleaner works great! More suction power than you'll ever need. Bigger hose than most. The carry handle and large on/off switch are a huge improvement over my 15 year old shop vacuum. Very easy to assemble. There is one bolt per wheel assembly. It took 2 or 3 minutes. The quality is heavy feeling. It will take a lot of abuse. I just bought this after reading a lot of reviews including some complaining about the huge oversized bag. Yes, it is definitely too big.
