Required for Depth Gauge

This product and two others (depth rod and handle) allow you to attach a depth gauge to an oscillating Dewalt tool to avoid overcutting.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Interval

Original equipment power tool parts and accessories

The DeWalt oscillating tool I bought did not come with this accessory. Didn't realize I needed this until my friend bought it with the depth gauge that came with it. So now I buy parts and I didn't like the deal very much. Good part though.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Good but not great

When precision is required.

Practical guidance mainly when precision is required; The mounting block can get in the way when work space is limited, but overall it's a must-have accessory in your toolbox for making clean, safe cuts where tube or pipe is unfamiliar. I only wish they would sell all three pieces as a set. Although the goods were sold by the same company, I received the handle before the guide body and lever.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some difficulties

The Screw and Handle Loosen When Using the Oscillating Tool

The screw that attaches this assembly to the oscillating tool and the handle that tightens the depth guide loosens after less than a minute of use, eliminating this necessary "Accessories" is also all three parts are sold individually, although they were originally intended to be part of an oscillating instrument. Why must all three parts be sold individually when you can't do anything with one or two parts! ?

Unusable as Supplied

Block assembly did not come with tooling mounting hardware. Screw and washer are missing. Repeated correspondence with the seller by e-mail did not lead to any result. Now they have stopped responding. The depth gauge I bought to use with my oscillating tool is useless because I can't attach the block to the tool. If that is indeed how it should be delivered, don't worry. EDIT: Contacted Revain directly and they were very helpful. They sent a replacement within 2 days with all the equipment…

3 parts to order

The following parts are included but must be ordered separately: and a useful addition that allows new cuts to be made with the multi-tool. Examples would be shallow cuts on the face of a board, either using a clamped fence as a guide or freehand. Or careful plunge cutting and removing old grout. (That's the purpose I bought the manual for, but right now I'm thinking of a better project because my skills as a woodcutter carpenter might not match our classic mid-century tile job.) Still, it's a…
