Dewhel Billet Engine Oil Fuel Filler Tank Cap Cover - Purple, for Honda Acura Civic TL Review

I hated the factory plastic so I bought this as a quick and cheap alternative. Amazing quality for the price, it fits my k20a3 swap perfectly.

I got these on suspicion of a leaking cover and it was about other non original parts on my d16y8 (97 civic ex) Looks good, the threading is nice. The socket fell off the cover but it's okay it came up again. You can see the matte finish. Would buy again.

If this is my 2006 Honda Ridgeline, it must be one. Looks good, oil doesn't leak like stock. It gets a little warm so if you change the oil yourself make sure the engine is a little cool or use a towel. I especially like that it has ribs so you can actually unscrew the oil cap because they can be a bit difficult to unclip at times.

Not bad considering the price is the same as a plastic cover at the auto parts store. But it looked a bit ridiculous on my H/F valve cover because it's so small in diameter and quite tall. I'll probably put it on the D series but the build quality is good and the anodizing seems solid, the rubber pad isn't the right size, it works but falls off easily, a bit of silicone sheeting might help.

This cap fits well, looks good and is well made, but it's not perfect. The rubber seal is not very tight so it falls off easily. This wasn't a big issue for me though, I used RTV silicone to glue the gasket to the lid to keep it from falling off so this issue is easy to fix. Civic and loose sealing issues seem to have been resolved as the second cap I bought a few years later had an o-ring pressed into the machined groove rather than a rubber washer that was loose on the cap and the new design…
